| Mangum-Howell Center June Special Events Calendar |

Mangum-Howell Center’s free intergenerational programs are part of Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Eversole’s educational and recreational commitment to Harris County residents. Mangum-Howell Center is located in Doss Park at 2500 Frick Road, Houston 77038, west of Veterans Memorial Drive and south of Beltway 8. Center hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Harris County Precinct 4 programs serve people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or physical ability. Anyone requiring special assistance to participate in any program should contact Mangum-Howell Center. An adult must accompany children under the age of 18.
Craft: Hot Chicks Tote Bag Thursday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break Decorated with colorful stripes, polka dots, feathers, and plumes, these hens are struttin’ their stuff on these whimsical canvas tote bags. A $2 suggested donation helps defray the cost of the canvas bag.
July Trips Sign-Up Thursday, June 11 at 8:30 a.m. Sign-up in person on a first-come, first-served basis at the Center for the following July trips: • Wednesday, July 8 at 8 a.m. — Tour of Beaumont. The cost is $8 per person. Lunch is on your own at Golden Corral. • Friday, July 24 at 9 a.m. — Igloo Products, Katy. The cost is $2 per person. Lunch is on your own at the Igloo Cafeteria. Craft: Patriotic Heart Shaped Flag Thursday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break Get ready for the 4th of July and display a patriotic flag for all to see. This hand-painted flag will be a favorite in the garden or yard. A $2 suggested donation helps defray the cost of additional supplies.
Bingo Thursday, June 18 at 1 p.m. Each player is asked to bring a nominal prize (not to exceed $5). Please note: No cash prizes, gift certificates, gift cards, lottery tickets, or U. S. postage stamps may be used as prizes.
