| Spring ISD Kindergarten Roundup Schedule |
HOUSTON – Spring ISD elementary schools will hold Kindergarten Roundup in April and May for children who will begin kindergarten in the 2009-10 school year.
Kindergarten in Spring ISD is a full-day program for children who will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2009. Registration for kindergarten is voluntary, but once a child enrolls for kindergarten, he or she becomes subject to the compulsory attendance law. That law requires a student to be in attendance at least 90 percent of the days that school is in session in order to receive credit.

To register a child for kindergarten, a parent or legal guardian must be with the child and present a certified copy of the birth certificate and a certified immunization record. In addition, the parent or guardian must provide proof of residence in Spring ISD, either in the form of a mortgage statement, rent receipt or utility bill.
If the child has a Social Security number, that number is requested or the District will provide a state-assigned number for accounting purposes.
Children who are currently enrolled in Spring ISD prekindergarten will be automatically enrolled in kindergarten without having to participate in the roundup.
Dates and times for Spring ISD Kindergarten Roundup are:
Anderson – May 4-8, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Bammel – Registration will be held in August.
Booker – May 6, 9 to 11 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
Beneke – May 12, 9 to 10 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
Burchett – May 4-7, 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.
Clark Primary – April 13-17, 9 to 11 a.m.
Cooper – Registration will be held in August.
Eickenroht – August 6, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Heritage – April 2, 9 to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m.
Hirsch – April 13-17, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Hoyland – Registration will be held in August.
Jenkins – May 4-8, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lewis – April 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
Link – May 7, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Major – Registration will be at Clark Primary, Ponderosa and Reynolds
McNabb – Registration will be held in August
Meyer – Registration will be held in August
Northgate Crossing – May 4-8, 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Ponderosa – May 4-6, 1 to 3 p.m. and May 7, 3 to 5 p.m.
Reynolds – May 6, 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Salyers – May 6-8, 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Smith – April 20-24, 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Thompson – May 6, 5 to 7 p.m.
Winship – May 5-7, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m.
