| Klein Oak High School Announces Annual Festival Returns to the Fall |
The area high school moves its event to promote school clubs and organizations to the community with a fall celebration.
Spring, TX –Due to Hurricane Ike, Klein Oak High School has rescheduled OAKFEST for Saturday November 15, 2008 from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm on school grounds. There will be food, area vendors, a carnival with booths sponsored by various clubs and student organizations, a silent auction, a cheer clinic and more.
|
Proceeds from the event will be to support the prom fund for the Class of 2010. The goal of OAKFEST is to promote community involvement of the various organizations available at Klein Oak and develop a strong community in and around the area. In its first year to return to the Fall since 2002, the class of 2010 hopes to increase awareness of school activities and raise money for its senior prom simultaneously.
“We are so excited to bring OAKFEST back to the Fall. Everyone is glad to be back in school, making new friends, and caught up in school spirit. We want to encourage our community to become involved just as much as we encourage our students to become active members throughout their community,” said Yvette Stuckey, Class of 2010 Sponsor.
The class is soliciting donations for door prizes and auction items as well as underwriters for the event. If you would like to make a donation towards for silent auction or would like to be an underwriter, please contact Yvette Stuckey via email or by phone at (832) 484-4830.
